The following policy applies only to sales through the KaraokePilot.com shopping cart (clicking an "Add to Cart" button).  For policies covering sales through our eBay store click here.  For policies specific to Power Karaoke software purchased through "Buy Now" links, click here.

General:

  • Please direct any pre-sale questions to sales@karaokepilot.com.   For questions or support after your have made a purchase please email support@karaokepilot.com.
  • All our drives and external enclosures are new.  We do not presently sell used equipment via our web site, although we occasionally offer refurbished drives via our eBay store.
  • External drives:  The external LITEON drives we sell are professionally installed into an iNOI DW-560U enclosure and shipped in the retail box for this enclosure.  The drive specifications on the box may not match the drive installed into it.
  • We will ship a maximum of one Karaoke Software Suite CD per order.  All the software we sell will be on your CD.  Unlock codes for the software you have purchased will be emailed separately at the time your order is processed.
  • In order to be eligible for special bundle pricing all items in the bundle must be purchased.  Inadvertently removing one or more of the items in a bundle may delay the processing of your order.
  • All sale prices (if any) will be listed in red and include any applicable discounts.
  • Occasionally Power Karaoke software may be part of a karaokepilot.com sale.  The sale price DOES NOT APPLY if you purchase the software via a "Buy Now" button.  To receive the sale price, you must use an "Add to Cart" button.
  • We recommend retaining a copy of this policy as it exists at your time of purchase.  (i.e. print this page). 
    • We reserve the right to change this policy at any time and any changes made will apply to all purchases unless you retain a copy of the policy at the time of your purchase.

Item Availability:

  • You will see a column titled "In Stock?" for every item on the Buy Now page and the individual drive description pages.
    • This is intended as a guide to help our customers make an informed purchase decision.
    • Due to a slight lag in updating this information, it is possible for an item to show in stock, but actually be sold out.  See "Purchasing in-stock items" below for a description of how we will handle this.
  • Purchasing out-of-stock items:
    • You may still purchase items that show out of stock.  Your order will generally ship the business day following replenishment of the out of stock item.
    • In the event that we are unable to ship the business day following the expected in-stock date at the time of your purchase we will contact you via email to inform you of the new expected date.  If the new date is unacceptable you will have the option of cancelling your order for a full refund.
  • Purchasing in-stock items:
    • In stock items will ship per the shipping schedule below (in the Shipping section of this page).
    • In the event that we are unable to ship per the below shipping schedule due to item availability we will contact you via email:
      • You can elect to wait until we do have the item in stock and we can process your order at that time.
      • You can have the backordered item removed from your order and refunded.
      • You can also cancel the order entirely and receive a full refund.
  • You will always receive an email when we process your order.  Please ensure "@karaokepilot.com" is on your safe senders list to ensure your "Junk Email" filter does not intercept it.

Payment:

  • All prices on this website are in US Dollars and we can ONLY accept payment in US Dollars.
  • We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, eCheck, and Paypal.  You DO NOT need a Paypal account to buy from us.
    • Payment by eCheck will require 3-4 business days before shipping for the payment to clear.
  • If you would prefer to pay via a money order, please contact us.
  • We must collect 8.4% tax on all orders shipped to Washington State.
    • Your tax rate is calculated automatically when you enter your zip code on the shopping cart page.
    • No tax is added for international or "NO SHIPPING REQUIRED" sales.

Shipping:

  • General:
    • In-stock orders will ship per the following shipping schedule:
      If we receive your cleared payment on: Your order will ship on:
      Sunday (before 5PM PST) Monday
      Monday (before 5PM PST) Tuesday
      Tuesday (before 5PM PST) Wednesday
      Wednesday (before 5PM PST) Thursday
      Thursday (before 5PM PST) Friday
      Friday (Following) Monday
      Saturday (Following) Monday
    • If we receive your (cleared) payment after 5PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), your order will be shipped as if it was received the following day.  (i.e. If your order is received on Monday at 6PM (PST), it will ship Wednesday)
    • Federal holiday's may impact the above shipping schedule.  We can only ship on days for which the USPS is in operation.
    • The above shipping schedule is the guaranteed date we will ship.  It IS POSSIBLE your order may ship faster, but we can't guarantee this.  If you need your order to ship sooner than the above schedule, please contact us before purchasing!
    • We currently offer shipping through USPS Parcel Post, USPS Priority Mail, USPS Express Mail, First Class Mail International (< 16oz) and Priority Mail International (>16 oz).  Please contact us for shipping via an alternate method.
    • The shopping cart shipping calculator will calculate shipping based on the zip code entered (if applicable) and shipping method selected.
      • If you checkout with insufficient shipping selected (i.e. you select "US - STANDARD", but you reside in Canada) we will contact you for resolution and your order processing may be delayed.
      • If you enter an incorrect zip code for shipping calculation we will ship via the most expeditious means available based on your shipping payment.  You order may be delayed if your shipping payment was not sufficient.
    • Please note that all delivery times listed are:
      • Based on when your order is shipped, not when it is placed.
      • Are only guidelines, delivery times can not be guaranteed, as in transit times are beyond our control once presented to the carrier for shipment.
      • Are listed in postal business days.  Sundays, holidays, and in some cases Saturdays do not count as days in transit.
  • US (domestic) Shipments:
    • We privately insure all domestic packages against lost or damaged shipments.  If your package arrives damaged, please contact us at support@karaokepilot.com as soon as possible after receipt for resolution.
    • If you have not received your package within seven (7) business days, please contact support@karaokepilot.com.  The USPS requires 30 days to elapse before processing lost parcel claims, but we can attempt to track down your package before then.
    • If we determine the USPS has indeed lost your package, we will ship you another at our expense.  If we ship a replacement, and the original package is later delivered, we ask that you return the original package to us at our expense.
    • Unless you elect for US EXPRESS shipment the USPS does not offer reliable tracking information.  Do not be alarmed if the tracking number emailed by Paypal gives incorrect or incomplete information as this is normal.
    • US - EXPRESS Mail:
      • When electing for shipment via US - EXPRESS Mail, we will make every effort to process your order as soon as possible, however, we can only guarantee your order will ship based on the above shipping schedule.
      • US - EXPRESS mail shipping is overnight to many areas, but not all of them.  We can't guarantee your package will be received the day after it is shipped.
      • If you have specific time constraints and you require your items by a certain date, please contact us at sales@karaokepilot.com and we can work with you to determine the best way to get you your items as fast as possible.
  • International:
    • It is the responsibility of the customer to pay customs charges, duties, VAT, or any other applicable import charges (if applicable).  Please check with your local post office to determine if they will be required and what they will be before purchase.  (Import fees, if any, will be based on the HS Tariff code of 847170)
    • All international shipments are via USPS Priority Mail International unless you make alternate arrangements beforehand by contacting sales@karaokepilot.com.  (Software CD only orders will ship via First Class Mail International)
    • Please note that delivery times are not guaranteed.  Your package will have to clear customs and this can take time.  Once the package leaves our hands,  we have no control over time in transit or time in customs.  Please consider this before making a purchase if you must have your package within a certain time period.

Refunds:

  • We guarantee our drives will function as advertised.  If you purchase a drive from us and it is not working as advertised please review the following before contacting us:
    • Please follow the setup and unlock instructions in the Quick Start Guide included with every drive and software program we sell.  Following these few simple steps is critical.
    • If you are using Power CD+G Burner, please ensure you are following the step-by-step instructions in the Power CD+G Burner User's guide (at a minimum, this guide is included on your Karaoke Software Suite CD).
    • If the above does not help and you are still having difficulty feel free to contact us within thirty (30) days after receipt.  Include your name, product SKU number, and a description of the specific problem you are having.
  • If we are unable to get a drive you have purchased from us to work as advertised with a reasonable amount of troubleshooting then we will provide a full refund of your purchase price including shipping (up to $15) upon receipt of the returned drive.
    • Exception:  If the drive will not work because your computer does not meet the minimum specified system requirements, then your refund will be limited to the purchase price, less the retail cost of any purchased software.  (Please ensure your computer meets these requirements before purchase.  Refer to the individual item detail page or our FAQ page for System Requirements.  If you are still unsure if your computer meets the requirements, you may contact us.)
    • To qualify for a refund under this policy you must cooperate with us while we attempt troubleshoot the problem(s) you are experiencing.  In some circumstances, we may ask you to contact Power Karaoke for assistance to confirm the problem is not with their software.  We will limit any troubleshooting required to what we believe is absolutely necessary to solve or determine the cause of your problem.
  • Returns of a portion of a drive/software package or bundle:
    • In the event that nay portion of a bundle must be returned for any reason, the refund amount will be based on if the bundle had not been originally purchased and will be limited to the total purchase price of the package, less the retail price of the items not being returned.
    • This will usually result in a refund of less than the invoice amount for the item being returned.
    • This is due to the fact that package and bundle pricing is contingent on purchasing ALL the items in the package or bundle.  Returning part of a package or bundle voids the package or bundle price.
  • If your purchase a drive for a purpose for which we do not advertise (i.e. for use with software other than what we support), then a refund may be limited to the purchase price of the drive (excluding any software you purchased with the drive) and may be subject to the 15% restocking fee as outlined below.
  • If you purchase a drive for use with software other than Power Karaoke software,  then your purchase price is refundable if you contact us within ten (10) days after receipt for resolution (may be subject to 15% restocking fee as outlined below)
  • DOA Return Policy - If your drive is Dead on Arrival (meaning it is not damaged in shipping, but just doesn't power up, please contact us within three (3) days of receipt for resolution.  Upon confirmation of DOA we will replace the drive.  Simply ship it back via USPS insured mail with all packaging and we will ship a replacement at our expense.
  • ALL returns require a Return Material Authorization (RMA) before shipping back to us.  If you feel it is necessary to return your drive, contact us at support@karaokepilot.com.
  • We can not guarantee Power Karaoke software will work with your current drive, therefore if you purchase this software from us without a drive it is non-refundable.  If you purchase the software from us, and then later buy a drive from us, then we will guarantee the drive will work as stated above.
  • Trial versions are available for all the software we sell.  Please try the software (before you buy) to ensure it will meet your needs.  Once an unlock code is issued, it can't be retracted, therefore software refunds are not provided (except where mentioned above).
  • Except as excluded above, all drive returns may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.  This restocking fee does not apply to defective drives, or drives that do not function as we advertise (unless we are not afforded a reasonable opportunity to troubleshoot).
  • Any drive return, regardless of reason, that is incomplete or not in new condition may not be completely refundable.  A reasonable amount to cover the replacement cost of what was missing or any damage or wear and tear may be deducted from the refund amount at our discretion.

Warranty:

  • If you DO NOT purchase a service plan with your drive you are entitled to warranty coverage as specified here with the following exceptions:
    • The primary period of coverage expires 30 days after you receive your drive shipment.
    • The secondary period of coverage expires six (6)  months after the purchase date.
    • This applies to all sales regardless of shipping destination.
    • Your drive may be covered under a limited manufacturer's warranty:
      • You will be mailed this warranty paperwork.  You are responsible for any necessary manufacturer's warranty claims.
      • For external drives, making a manufacturer's warranty claim will involve removing the drive from it's enclosure due to the fact that the external enclosures are manufactured by a different company than the drive itself.
