The following terms apply only to sales through our eBay store or other eBay listings.  For policies covering drive and software sales on our website, click here.  For policies specific to Power Karaoke software purchased through "Buy Now" links, click here.

General:

  • Please read the entire listing, read all of these terms, and ask any necessary questions before purchasing (or bidding, if appropriate).
  • Please direct any pre-sale or pre-bid questions to sales@karaokepilot.com.   For questions or support after your have made a purchase please email support@karaokepilot.com.
  • All our products we sell are new unless otherwise specified.
  • Due to continually changing drive availability, the drive you receive may not match the photo exactly.  You will receive a drive in the stated condition, meeting the stated specifications. 
  • External drives:  The external LITEON drives we sell are professionally installed into an iNOI DW-560U enclosure and shipped in the retail box for this enclosure.  The drive specifications on the box may not match the drive installed into it.  The drive you receive will meet or exceed the specifications advertised in the listing from which you purchased.
  • If you use eBay's system to ask us a question, please ensure your junk email filter is configured to receive email's from eBay.  If not, you will have to log into your "My eBay" page to see our response to your question.
  • If there is a term of sale on one of our eBay listings in addition to or conflicting with these terms than the eBay listing's terms take precedence.
  • We believe in the feedback system and automatically leave feedback on the winning bidder for all our listings after feedback has been left for us.   This helps to ensure a positive experience for all involved by making sure you are completely satisfied before feedback is left.
  • We recommend retaining a copy of this policy as it exists at your time of purchase.  (i.e. print this page). 
    • We reserve the right to change this policy at any time and any changes made will apply to all purchases unless you retain a copy of the policy at the time of your purchase.

Payment:

  • We currently require payment through Paypal.
  • We reserve the right to require a confirmed shipping address in Paypal.   To avoid a potential delay in receiving your order, please take a few minutes to confirm your address in Paypall.  This affords both you and Karaoke Pilot the protections provided by Paypal.  It is very simple to confirm your address if you have not already.  Visit Paypal for more information.
  • Money orders:  We will no longer accept money order payments for purchased through our eBay site, however we do still accept them via our web site shopping cart.  If you prefer to pay with a money order, please contact us for approval/instructions.  As a general rule we highly discourage money order payments for the following reasons:
    • Although many sellers will accept them, once a money order leaves your hands, you can no longer prove you sent any money or actually paid unless the seller receives the money order (it was not lost in the mail) and acknowledges it.
    • Paying by credit card is much safer for you, the buyer, as you can prove you paid for the item, and you have the power of chargeback should you never receive your purchase.
    • If you are unable or unwilling to pay via a credit card, a much safer and more efficient alternative to money orders is a Paypal eCheck.  A 2-3 business day clearing period is still required, but it will be much safer than a money order payment.
  • In our listings that do not require immediate payment:
    • Payment must be received within five (5) business days of purchase or auction end
    • Buyer must contact us via email to communicate payment method within 24 hours of purchase or auction end.  Paying via Paypal or otherwise completing checkout on eBay satisfies this requirement.
    • If these terms are not met, we reserve the right to return item to stock and file non-paying bidder claim with eBay.
  • All items shipped to Washington State addresses will have 8.4% sales tax added at checkout (We are unable to make exceptions to this policy).

Shipping:

  • General:

    • All our listings (except software-only listings) charge the calculated exact cost of shipping to your location and only add a (very reasonable) $1.00 fee to cover packaging materials, insurance, and handling.
    • Some listings offer shipping via both "Priority Mail" and "Priority Mail Flat Rate Box".  Simply select the least expensive option for your location.  (Depending on how far you live from us, it will vary).
    • All orders will ship per the following schedule:
      If we receive your cleared payment on: Your order will ship on:
      Sunday (before 5PM PST) Monday
      Monday (before 5PM PST) Tuesday
      Tuesday (before 5PM PST) Wednesday
      Wednesday (before 5PM PST) Thursday
      Thursday (before 5PM PST) Friday
      Friday (Following) Monday
      Saturday (Following) Monday
    • If we receive your (cleared) payment after 5PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), your order will be shipped as if it was received the following day.  (i.e. If your order is received on Monday at 6PM (PST), it will ship Wednesday)
    • Federal holiday's may impact the above shipping schedule.  We can only ship on days for which the USPS is in operation.
    • The above shipping schedule is the guaranteed date we will ship.  It IS POSSIBLE your order may ship faster, but we can't guarantee this.  If you need your order to ship sooner than the above schedule, please contact us before purchasing!
    • We currently offer shipping through USPS Parcel Post, USPS Priority Mail, USPS Express Mail, First Class Mail International (< 16oz) and Priority Mail International (>16 oz).  Please contact us for shipping via an alternate method.
    • We self insure all packages against damage during transit, therefore extra insurance is not required.   If your package arrives damaged, have the shipper notate this and contact us at support@karaokepilot.com as soon as possible for resolution.
  • Domestic Shipping (to US Destinations):

    • Our primary shipping method is USPS Priority Mail for items over 16 ounces.  Items under 16 ounces are shipped First Class Mail.  In some cases we offer USPS Express Mail or Parcel Post (Check an individual listing to see if these are available and for the associated charge)  If you prefer another shipping method, We may be able to offer this on a limited bases.  Please contact us for more information before you buy.
    • Unless you elect for Express Mail shipment the USPS does not offer reliable tracking information.  Do not be alarmed if the tracking number emailed by Paypal gives incorrect or incomplete information as this is normal.
  • International Shipping (to Non-US Destinations):

    • The USPS does not provide reliable tracking methods for most international shipping methods.  Please do not be alarmed if the tracking information provided by Paypal is not accurate or complete.
    • If your package is destined outside the US your package will have to clear customs which can take time.  Expect at least 7-14 business days and possibly longer for your package to arrive.  Due to the fact that customs must inspect all items entering their respective county, and they do not guarantee a processing time, we can not guarantee your package will arrive within a certain time frame.
    • If you have not received your package within 14 business days, please check with your local post office as it is very likely being held there.
    • It is the responsibility of the customer to pay customs charges, duties, VAT, or any other applicable import charges (if applicable).  Please check with your local post office to determine if they will be required and what they will be before you bid or purchase.  (Import fees, if any, will be based on the HS Tariff code of 847170).

Refunds:

  • We guarantee our drives will function as advertised.  If you purchase a drive from us and it is not working as advertised please review the following before contacting us:
    • Please follow the setup and unlock instructions in the Quick Start Guide and the "Before contacting us..." guide included with every drive and software program we sell.  Following these few simple steps is critical.
    • If you are using Power CD+G Burner, please ensure you are following the step-by-step instructions in the Power CD+G Burner User's guide (at a minimum, this guide is included on your Karaoke Software Suite CD).
    • If the above does not help and you are still having difficulty feel free to contact us within thirty (30) days after receipt.  Include your name, product SKU number, and a description of the specific problem you are having.
  • If we are unable to get a drive you have purchased from us to work as advertised with a reasonable amount of troubleshooting then we will provide a full refund of your purchase price including shipping (up to $15) upon receipt of the returned drive.
    • Exception:  If the drive will not work because your computer does not meet the minimum specified system requirements, then your refund may be limited to the purchase price, less the retail cost of any purchased software.  (Please ensure your computer meets these requirements before purchase.  Refer to the individual item detail page or our FAQ page for System Requirements.  If you are still unsure if your computer meets the requirements, you may contact us.)
    • To qualify for a refund under this policy you must cooperate with us while we attempt troubleshoot the problem(s) you are experiencing.  In some circumstances, we may ask you to contact Power Karaoke for assistance to confirm the problem is not with their software.  We will limit any troubleshooting required to what we believe is absolutely necessary to solve or determine the cause of your problem.
  • If you purchase a drive for a purpose for which we do not advertise (i.e. for use with software other than what we support), then a refund may be limited to the purchase price of the drive (excluding any software you purchased with the drive) and may be subject to the 15% restocking fee as outlined below.
  • If you purchase a drive for use with software other than Power Karaoke software,  then your purchase price is refundable if you contact us within ten (10) days after receipt for resolution (may be subject to 15% restocking fee as outlined below). 
  • DOA Return Policy - If your drive is Dead on Arrival (meaning it is not damaged in shipping, but just doesn't power up, please contact us within three (3) days of receipt for resolution.  Upon confirmation of DOA we will replace the drive.  Simply ship it back via USPS insured mail with all packaging and we will ship a replacement at our expense.
  • ALL returns require a Return Material Authorization (RMA) before shipping back to us.  If you feel it is necessary to return your drive, contact us at support@karaokepilot.com.
  • We can not guarantee Power Karaoke software will work with your current drive, therefore if you purchase this software from us without a drive it is non-refundable.  If you purchase the software from us, and then later buy a drive from us, then we will guarantee the drive will work as stated above.
  • Trial versions are available for all the software we sell.  Please try the software (before you buy) to ensure it will meet your needs.  Once an unlock code is issued, it can't be retracted, therefore software refunds are not provided (except where mentioned above).
  • Except as excluded above, all drive returns may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.  This restocking fee does not apply to defective drives, or drives that do not function as we advertise (unless we are not afforded a reasonable opportunity to troubleshoot).
  • Any drive return, regardless of reason, that is incomplete or not in new condition may not be completely refundable.  A reasonable amount to cover the replacement cost of what was missing or any damage or wear and tear may be deducted from the refund amount at our discretion.
